Slobodna Energija is an open lab and collaborative playground. There are no formal memberships, bureaucratic requirements, or subscription fees. Everything we build is driven by curiosity, mutual learning, and open source.

Ways to Participate

  • Offer a roof or location for telemetry: Want to evaluate the real solar yield and microclimate of your roof or premises? We set up open-source sensors to measure solar irradiance, shading, and energy profiles. The measurements are free, and the data remains yours.
  • Hardware hacking & engineering: Do you develop with microcontrollers (ESP32, STM32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi), design PCBs, work with LoRa telemetry, or write open software? Join us in prototyping our open hardware modules.
  • Pitch an idea or "sprout": Have an idea for an off-grid solar node, energy monitoring device, automated greenhouse, or local microgrid? Start a discussion on GitHub or send us a message so we can explore it together.
  • Hardware testing & donations: If you have spare solar panels, microinverters, battery packs, or electronic test equipment, we will put them to good use in transparent public experiments.

What Happens After You Reach Out

  1. Direct conversation: One of us will reach out to discuss technical details, ideas, and potential synergy.
  2. Measurement & planning: No sales pitches, no commercial obligations. We define what to measure, build, or deploy.
  3. Open results: All resulting data, schematics, and code are published as open commons for the world to use.
